Ethics-related failures are commonplace in the modern world economy with the desire to compete by the performance of their employees and the success they achieve (Maxwell 2019). There’s been an increase in the discussion about the importance of ethics in both politics and business after major corporate catastrophes. Moral principles are getting more attention yet again. Many modern businesses have an ethics code and include moral considerations in new hiring orientation. Universities are now starting to include ethics classes (Raghupathy 2017, 2017). If leaders are ethically sound, they put an emphasis on the importance of morality in making decisions. As companies adopt ethics codes of conduct and/or code of conduct in their endeavors to encourage ethics-based culture moral leadership is becoming more important. The need for ethical leadership is amplified due to the worldwide influence that social media has, in which users from all walks of life are able to be able to weigh in on the decisions of the people in charge and express their opinions. To effectively guide a group individuals and guide them towards desired outcomes, leaders who are ethical follow a code of behavior that includes principles such as respect, accountability, justice integrity, fairness and empathy (Moore 2022). Truthfully, these values constitute the basis in morality. Cont…
