Summary, Conclusions, and Recommendations

A qualitative study of folk biology was conducted with the sample size comprising five individuals. The researcher deliberately selected college students as the participants on their impressions of their surroundings. The results of the study are vital in describing how people interact to their surroundings, and offer a more practical perspective on how to tackle the current and upcoming ecological issues. The main goal was to provide a rational strategy for managing global warming that focuses on the prevention of pollution caused by humans.

The researcher was fascinated by the historical background on folk-based biology. Therefore, the qualitative research method was to be the most efficient. To increase the pool of data it was necessary to provide participants with open-ended questions that would allow for greater survey. However, in order to collect high-quality answers, it became essential to deliberately recruit participants. The primary focus of the study was understanding folk biology as well as the overall perspective on the ecology. The researcher therefore identified five college students, and then interviewed the students using specific questions. The answers were transcribing for analysis of thematic and textual text.
