Section 1: Leadership and Collaboration Experience

Section 1 Introduction to Leadership and Collaboration Experience

After I completed my master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, I began working in Bio-Reference Laboratories, as a project manager for the Florida branch. When the new project initiated I was in charge of a team of ten individuals. The new project involved the gathering, evaluating and reporting the results of diagnostic tests. The goal was to meet the specific requirements that healthcare practitioners, customers as well as institutions by providing reliable efficient, reliable, and high-tech diagnostics. As project manager, I was responsible for organizing the planning, coordinating, and overseeing the completion of the specific project. This meant it was essential to stress the various processes that were employed, and ensure that the requirements of the project were made clear directly to my team.

To achieve the project’s goals, I decided to follow the democratic the leadership style. According to Kaleem and co. (2016), the democratic leadership approach involves soliciting feedback from both the team and coworkers so that everyone is able to be involved in the decision-making process. This was the most appropriate method of leadership since my team consisted of people with different ages and backgrounds. I wanted to collaborate with all of them and make the most of their strengths thoughts, ideas, and expertise. By following the leader this approach is successful in encouraging creativity in the team. Projects improve when everyone participates positively. Furthermore, I was acknowledged by the stakeholder community since they were involved in the project’s decision-making process and offered the support needed to ensure its longevity.

Decision-making is a key component of project management. an ability to lead by analyzing scenarios and decide on the most appropriate method of action in the course of the work. I used a conceptual method that allowed me to explore a variety of options and possibilities, while being intolerant of uncertainties. While it’s not the best choice in situations that require exact rapid decisions, this approach is ideal since it promotes creative thinking and teamwork, and allows for a wide range of thoughts…
