Instructions
After reviewing the medical conditions presented in the textbook, including osteoporosis, osteomyelitis, disorders of the feet, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel disorder, rotator cuff injury, or other musculoskeletal disorders, develop a care map using the template directly after these instructions. For this assignment, include the following: assessment and data collection (including disease process, common labwork/diagnostics, subjective, objective, and health history data), three NANDA-I approved nursing diagnosis, one SMART goal for each nursing diagnosis, and two nursing interventions with rationale for each SMART goal for a client with a musculoskeletal disorder.

Osteomyelitis is a bone-related infection that can occur at any time. If it is not treated, it can result in the destruction of bone tissue. General laboratory diagnostics: Xrays (radiographs) may detect bone defects. MRI (also known as magnetic resonance imaging is an imaging method which can detect bone fluids with greater precision and sensitivity over any other procedure (Llewellyn and co. 2019). If there is a suspicion of an infection it is suggested to conduct blood tests for confirmation of the diagnose. It is not possible that the WBC can confirm the diagnosis. The blood test is an method of diagnosis for identifying microorganisms which have entered bloodstreams. A sample of tissue or biopsy of the bone that is affected can be examined to determine the presence of microbes responsible for causing disease (Llewellyn and co. 2019,). An acute nursing diagnosis of inflammation and tissue necrosis could be the reason for discomfort, which manifests in various ways, such as voice-based descriptions, guarding and disorienting behavior, inward focus or outwardly directed energies (changes in vital symptoms). A rise in body temperature as well as hot, red skin could be indicators of an elevated metabolic rate as well as an infectious process that is known as hyperthermia. Cont…
