The first was the creation of the universe and man. This explains how the world as it was created and the particulars of this are described in the passage. There were also the laws of both texts, whose function was to control the populace and their conduct in general. If they were found refusing to obey the laws, there were consequences. In both texts the two texts, religion is acknowledged when the places of worship are constructed. But, there is numerous variations in the texts. For instance, in the old texts, Marduk created Earth in addition to Man as an amalgamation of bones and blood In the Biblical Texts, God created Earth and all things in it with his words of mouth and Man as his likeness.
