In our time, every liberal and progressive still looks to Palestine as the yardstick by which to measure their commitment to justice, accountability, and human rights. Now is the time to connect the two ideologies that dominate these spaces—Zionism and Hinduism—because both Palestine and Kashmir represent two of the most important decolonization wars of our lifetime (Mushtaq & Amin, 2021). The word Palestine can be related to the ancient Greek word Philistines, which refers to the Philistines who lived in the 12th century BC. BC lives in part of the region. Arabs have been the indigenous people of Palestine for thousands of years, most of whom are Sunni Muslims (Osuri & Zia, 2020). In addition, there are minorities of Jews, Druze, Christians and Shia Muslims. Palestine has been ruled by many different peoples throughout its history, including Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Arabs, Fatimids, Seljuks, Crusaders, Egyptians and Mamluks. continue…
