Recommendations

When they are working, employees must wear appropriate clothing, making sure they are wearing the correct face shield, gloves that are heat resistant and all other protective clothing. Workers should ensure whether all equipment for safety, such as exhaust fans, air switches and automatic shut-off valves are in good working order prior to beginning to ignite the furnace. In addition, every quenching area must be ventilated to ensure the proper level of the oil mist control.
