Gun control is the term used to describe laws and regulations that limit access to certain kinds of guns, limit the ownership of certain kinds guns, and define the places where they can be carried. Controlling guns is a widely debated topic in the US that has raised issues such as individual rights, federal and state oversight by the government, as well as the safety of the public. In order to reduce the rising rate of gun-related fatalities and violence across the United States, proponents of gun control advocate for more strict rules regarding the transfer and sale of firearms. Opponents claim they have the constitutional right to carry firearms is protected under the Constitution. According to the data for 2020, which was provided from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in the year 2000, there were 45,222 deaths attributed to guns across the US. The proportion of suicides and murders that involved firearms within the United States in 2020 was approximately 54 and 43 respectively. For Americans who are younger than the age of 64, gun-related injuries are one of the leading five causes of deaths. For all injuries that are not fatal that result from firearms, 70% result of an attack with an instrument, whereas only 20% of them occur by accident. Males comprise 86 % of victims, and the majority. Cont…
