26. Describe a situation of ethical dilemma that you have experienced in practice and how it was resolved.

When I was a producer manager, I had one of the biggest challenges. We were in discussions with numerous companies that sell clothing. The best offer was from a facility located in Bangladesh and, as it appears on paper, they had passed all environmental tests. But when our team went to the factory to look into it, they discovered the company had created many false information and was contaminating the nearby rivers as they made clothes. It’s not like it would have been easy to say this was irrelevant. Although it was miles away, they offered us the best offer and they were able to provide all the documents required and certificates. There is no question that this presented a moral dilemma. However, I ultimately decided to ignore the allegations. Also I complained to the local police. We opted for another vendor. We paid more and our profit margin was lower however we did not deceive our clients , nor did we contribute to the degradation of the environment (Kiili and Moilanen, 2019,). Cont…
