It is sometimes said that the higher the correlation between two variables, the more likely the relationship is causal. Do you think this is correct? Discuss.

It is often held that a higher degree of correlation between two factors indicates a more causal link. Because of the previous justification, I agree with this. Connectivity between two variables may be quantified using a correlation coefficient. The degree of correlation between two data sets might be positive, negative, or zero. When an increase follows an increase in one data set in the other group, this is known as a positive relationship (Banzhaf et al., 2019). When one set of data tends to drop as the other set of values grows, we say there is a negative correlation between them. The parameters are said to have “no correlations” or “zero correlation” if the change in the value of one set does not impact the values of the other. If one event causes another, they have a causal relationship. Two events occur; the first is the cause, and the second is the consequence (Burgess et al., 2018). However, correlation is not the same thing as causation. Conversely, two variables must be correlated if they have a causal connection.
