Developing Management Theory

The assignment for this week is to develop your own management theory. We discussed several
management theories (behavioral and psychological) in class and you have researched additional ones on
your own. Now it is time to think about what you, as a future manager, would use as your management
theory.
Write an essay describing your theory in detail. The following “steps” should help in developing your
management theory. Include all of the developmental steps in your essay.
Step #1: Develop at least five “functions or roles” of management for your theory.
Step # 2: Develop a statement of purpose for your theory, meaning, why did you develop it? What was
missing from any of the other theories that you felt you needed to develop your own?
Step # 3: What does your theory focus on? You can choose one or several of the topics below, in addition
to any others that you come up with. Explain how your theory applies to the topics.

Developing Management Theory

When developing a management theory it is important to look at its potential applications. My management theory can be used to organizations that exhibit an organization that operates in a hierarchical manner. So, my main focus in forming this theory of management will be dismantling the hierarchical structure of leadership in an company. Submissive leadership theory is a strategy that focuses on improving communication within an organization as well as being able to interact freely with employees. The theory of submissive management is based on the concept of establishing flexible guidelines that encourage employees to be more vocal in the workplace. The theory integrates employee views into the decision-making process for empowering the entire business with the motivation to do dedication and responsibility for your actions. With the application of the theory, leaders encourage employees to share concerns and suggestions that could help improve the performance of the business overall. Additionally the theory of submissiveness demonstrates its main purpose by establishing strong relationships between employees and leaders within the company.

In analyzing the other theories of management There is a sign the theories to a certain degree, do not meet certain essential elements required for effective management of the workforce. Submissive theory of leadership manages leadership role of leaders in managing employees. According to Dahlgaard-Park and colleagues. (2018) that a theory of leadership management should encompass all elements of an organization that is in accordance with the vision of the organization and the necessity to be successful. Therefore, I believe that the development of the submissive leadership theory will help create an ideal that will see every person in the company assuming their primary role.
