You will be writing a paper that identifies, summarizes, and applies a published code of ethics for your
profession. The paper will include 2-3 pages of content, a title page and reference page, for a paper
that is 4- to 5-pages in total length.

Using the internet and Library, locate an industry organization’s code of ethics. For example, the
American Marketing Association, American Psychological Association, and the American Medical
Association all have extensive codes of ethics. An excellent source is the Ethics Code Collection.
Once you have located and examined the code, summarize the main points of the code.
Provide an example of an ethical decision or issue that may arise in your profession.
Explain how the code of ethics could be used to provide guidance regarding the decision or issue.
Conclude your paper with an explanation regarding the importance and benefits of codes of ethics.

Code of Ethics for Medical Sales

The code of ethics is defined as a set of guidelines and principles that guide decisions made by individuals and organizations and aid in separating right from wrong in their work. A variety of ethical codes are established by professional organisations and associations that provide guidance to those who are who are members of them. These organizations and bodies establish an established standard of conduct that all professionals must be a part of and the consequences of not adhering to the rules (Ferrell and colleagues. 2017,). This paper examines and analyzes the ethics code designed for medical sales professionals that are outlined within the Association for Accessible Medicines (AAM) Code of Business Ethics.

Discussion

The Association of Accessible Medicines is an association of professional members that seeks to make it easier to access high-quality, safe, and effective medicines. The code of ethics for business is applicable to biosimilar companies as well as generic drug operations within the United States and outlines guidelines to conduct business with all members. It assists medical sales representatives who are my profession as well as other entities like manufacturers have the right tools for making decisions when confronted by moral and ethical dilemmas.
