44. Discuss how you would determine the appropriate leadership style to use with your generational cohort.

Style is a term used to describe social norms, behavior patterns, as well as communications preferences that are non-verbal and verbal. A person’s leadership style is the set of decisions they make to make in any particular situation. The Art of Leadership that Gets Results is an important article written by Marchova and colleagues. (2020) gives evidence for this. To summarize the words of Marchova says, “each style arises from distinct aspects that make up emotional intelligence.” He categorizes them as authoritative and coercive or democratic and affiliative or even speedsetting and coaching. Myerhoff (2019) offers an alternative view of management methods. The four personalities He outlines as the classic businessman, the modern missionary, the problem-solver and the seeker of solutions. The owner of a business is determined and quick to take advantage of opportunities and those who are missionaries always looking for deeper meaning to spur the change. The problem solver is described as modest and humble acknowledges the efforts of coworkers and the shared outcomes while the problem-solver prefers a more authoritative as well as a top-down attitude, concentrates more on the tangible result and value of knowledge. Cont…
