Due to COVID-19, the need for churches to quickly adopt new technologies and make major changes has increased. Changes that took churches two years to implement can now be implemented in as little as two months (Pakpahan et al., 2022). While the COVID-19 pandemic has forced local churches and affiliated church organizations to adopt new digital discipleship strategies, the literature and discussion on the topic is not new. The following essays, some written before the pandemic and others focusing specifically on teachings discovered as a result of the pandemic, illustrate modern thinking about the use of technology in discipleship (Paras et al., 2021).
