Benchmark – Capstone Executive Summary Report and Leadership Portfolio

The Capstone Project- Locally we have a program Bright Stars that assist students that are 16 years and
older with resume writing, mock job interviews, transportation to interviews and transportation to local
job fairs.
This assignment will consist of two parts: an executive summary of the completed capstone project, as
well as a leadership portfolio.
Executive Summary: Write a 500-750-word executive summary of the capstone project. Include your
approach to the capstone project, including design, purpose, goals, and results of your pre- and post-
assessment evaluations. The executive summary should be the first entry in your Leadership Portfolio.
Leadership Portfolio: The portfolio should contain components from at least four previous courses in the
Master of Science in Leadership program, such as MGT-605, LDR-600, LDR-630, LDR-640, LDR-612, or
LDR-615. Each of the four components should include a 250-500-word summary of how you approached
the assignment, the lessons you learned from completing your work, and how these lessons helped shape
you as a leader.
Please note that it is not required to submit the four course artifacts you are referencing; a well-written
synopsis that clearly identifies the course and includes the required elements will be sufficient for the
purposes of this portfolio. You may also include an artifact that is not course-related, but may be an
additional level of support for the portfolio.
Conclude the portfolio with a brief personal call to action. In 250-500 words, describe your professional
development plan after you graduate. How will you continue to grow as a leader? Also, identify specific
resources, such as professional organizations, mentors, and professional development opportunities that
will help you accomplish your plan.

Executive Summary

The capstone project is designed to aid local students in improving their resume writing skills and interviewing skills. The aim can be accomplished by having each student’s strengths and weaknesses strengths are identified through working in close collaboration with them. The program also requires the ability of the help steer the program, in addition to confidence and discipline that allow the researcher to gather data from the students. Volunteers for the project must demonstrate commitment and passion to ensure they don’t discourage learners. Volunteers will be aware of the expectations they must meet and the significance of their participation within the programme. Some of the tools program will employ include surveys, interviews as well as observation and samples along with other techniques. The results of the study will be vital to the learning process and form the foundation of education, where teachers will refer to examples from their own classrooms. The aim of this research is to achieve this through surveys and interviews with students who will be taken part into the program. The program will also concentrate on children’s capacity to finish training that is not offered within the school setting. The program would also train volunteers and students about the duties, traits and the requirements of a successful leader.
