The purpose of this study was to examine whether gender preference affects cooperation with the police and preference for reserve officers. Purpose is adequately explained through an introduction leading to a statement of research purpose.

2. Is the research question important? why is. The research question is important because it examines the structure of policing agencies and whether an individual’s gender affects who they work with in the field. Investigating police practices in partnerships is critical to uncovering instances of gender bias in the police force.
