Abortion Ethics

If one believes that some abortions are unmoral but the government shouldn’t hinder one’s choice in this particular area of life. While the issue is more complex, the debate is usually framed within the framework that are based on “pro-life” as well as “pro-choice” viewpoints. Personhood, on the other side, is a term used to describe the moral status of an individual (Greasley 2017). This is the meaning that we use. when anything is considered to be a person then it is of a moral standing. Thus, we have responsibilities to each one of those who have rights. The right to live is part of this. But, the pro-choice camp is in favor of women’s right to make their own choices regarding the reproductive organs and body. They argue that pro-lifers confer sovereignty on the unborn by preventing abortions regardless of the condition of the pregnancy or the mother’s health. The actions or decisions that have to be based on rationality are called categorical imperatives. Because the goal of Pregnancy is to expand the population of humans and that the act is crucial in our lives, we could be concluded that this act is part of an imperative categorical. This implies it is Pregnancy is a practical and universal law. In contrast, abortions would be against both practical and natural legality. One reason to have an abortion could be satisfying a mental need for example, ending a unwanted pregnancy.
