What I learned from INDS 1301 Design Class

I feel like my interior design course taught me a lot. Some of these lessons include; first, if you want to have a big impact, you have to make it happen structurally. My professor emphasized that the overall design of the room complements the furniture, lighting, and other elements (Shelly, 2017). Of course, they are very important for functionality, but if you want to make a place memorable, change the way it is organized. This could mean changing the way the walls are decorated, adding or removing walls, or even arching doorways. Additionally, I now know that I can use five structural design components: Horizontal, Perpendicular, Angular, Geometric Curve, and Free Curve. In our current ongoing project, we are developing an upscale hotel lobby. One of these components is available to every student in the class. My professor wants us to design rooms around the idea of ​​free curves because I have this idea (Amy, 2019). So when you look at the room, the room should obviously be centered on the free curve.
